Welcome to My Website. I have over 10 years of experience.

About Me

Hi, I’m Ruben (aka Sofie), a trans woman passionate about history and travel. I’m also an explorer and a relentless problem-solver. My life is a unique blend of these identities and interests, leading me on an endless journey of discovery, whether through ancient civilizations, cultural landscapes, or the depths of self-identity.

Discovering Myself

From a young age, I knew I was different. Between 13 and 16, I realized I wasn’t just feeling different—I was living my truth. I felt more like a woman and fully embraced that reality as the years passed. This is who I am and will always be—without shame.

My journey as a trans woman has been filled with challenges, but each one has been a triumph, shaping me in profound ways. I’ve learned to embrace my identity and to live authentically. I hope sharing my experiences, especially the challenges I’ve overcome, can inspire others to do the same.

My Love for History & Travel

My passion for history isn’t just about the past; it’s about understanding how stories shape the present and the future. I find inspiration in forgotten tales, untold narratives, and deep connections between cultures across time.

When not diving into historical mysteries, I’m out in the world—traveling, exploring, and embracing the unknown. Every destination teaches me something new, and every challenge strengthens my resolve.

What Drives Me

I am a solution-oriented person who never backs down from a challenge. I adapt, learn, and keep moving forward—whether uncovering history, navigating the world, or standing firm in my identity.

I share my journey, discoveries, identity, and adventures in this space. Join me as I navigate history, explore the world, and embrace the beauty of being unapologetically me.

My Journey

I remember being 13 years old, looking in the mirror and feeling like something wasn’t quite right—like the world saw someone I wasn’t. At first, it wasn’t very clear. I didn’t have the words for it, but deep inside, I knew. As the years passed, that feeling didn’t fade; instead, it became clearer. By age 16, I had already started living as myself—as Sofie.

It wasn’t always easy. The world can be harsh when you decide to live your truth. But I knew this was who I was, and no matter what challenges came my way, I refused to hide or apologize for being me. My journey of self-discovery wasn’t just about identity but about embracing every part of myself.

At the same time, I was developing another passion: history. Looking back at the past—at lost civilizations, ancient cultures, and forgotten stories—made me feel connected to something bigger. History isn’t just about facts and dates; it’s about people, emotions, and the struggles and triumphs that shape our world.

This love for history turned into something more when, in 2017, I started traveling across Germany and Austria with my father, exploring car museums, historical sites, and cultural landmarks. Every journey became a chance to learn about the past and myself. In 2023, I fulfilled a dream by visiting the Titanic Museum in Belfast—a moment that reminded me why I love uncovering the stories that time has left behind.

Through it all, I’ve learned that it is an adventure. It’s discovery, resilience, and the courage to keep moving forward—whether through the pages of history, across new cities, or within yourself.

This is my journey. And it’s not over.

My Passion for History & Travel

For me, history has never just been about the past—it’s about how stories shape our present and future. Every artifact, every old building, and every museum tells a story waiting to be uncovered. I’ve always been drawn to the forgotten tales, the hidden connections, and the moments that changed the world.

Traveling allows me to step inside those stories. Walking through a historical site, standing where people stood centuries ago, and seeing how cultures have evolved feels like time travel. Since 2017, I’ve been exploring Europe, uncovering history through museums, cities, and landscapes.

My love for car museums started with my father. We’ve visited places like the Mercedes-Benz Museum, Porsche Museum, and Autostadt, each revealing the evolution of engineering and design. These experiences made me realize that history isn’t just about wars and kings but also about innovation, creativity, and human ambition.

The Titanic Museum in Belfast was a personal dream come true. Standing in that space, surrounded by the echoes of one of history’s greatest tragedies, I felt an overwhelming connection to the people, the past, and the lessons we carry forward.

For me, history and travel are about more than just sightseeing. They’re about feeling, learning, and experiencing the depth of human stories. Whether exploring a medieval castle, walking through the streets of a new city, or discovering an unexpected piece of history, each journey fuels my curiosity and shapes who I am.

And there’s still so much more to explore.

What Drives Me

I’ve always been a solution-oriented person. Whether it’s figuring out a travel route in a foreign city or tackling a complex historical mystery, I thrive on finding solutions. Life, to me, isn’t about avoiding challenges—it’s about embracing them and growing through them.

Every personal or professional adventure is a puzzle waiting to be solved. I’m constantly learning, adapting, and pushing myself to find new ways of approaching the world. Resilience has been my most excellent teacher. I’ve learned that no matter how many obstacles appear, there’s always a way forward. It’s about perseverance, creativity, and refusing to give up on what matters most to you.

In the face of adversity, I’ve found that it’s not about the destination—it’s about the journey. Whether navigating through uncharted territories or confronting the complexities of self-identity, my drive comes from an innate desire to learn, grow, and evolve.

This mindset has guided me through my journey and every exploration—historical research, travel, or finding my place in the world. I constantly seek the next adventurelessonor way to push my limits.

The world is full of challenges, but it’s also full of possibilities. And that’s what keeps me going—there’s always something new to discover, always a way to improve, always a path forward.
